About the Agency

The Roster was established under the Mental Health Act (the “Act”) and plays an important role in protecting the rights of patients in facilities and individuals subject to community treatment orders.

The Roster is an adjudicative body that considers applications pertaining to:

The Roster currently consists of three chairs and three vice chairs, as well as a roster of psychiatrists and public members. Each hearing panel is composed of three members: one chair/vice chair, one psychiatrist, and one public member. The Roster maintains a large number of members to facilitate the timely scheduling of hearings.
