Plecash, Ross

Ross Plecash graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management. He has worked in the Alberta resource sector and in the electrical utility industry He joined the staff of APEGA as the Assistant Director of Communications & Public Affairs, and assumed various roles thereafter. Mr. Plecash is the Chair of Alberta Computers for Schools, a not-for-profit organization which refurbishes used computers and provides them to schools, libraries, other learning organizations and low income and refugee families free of charge. He has served as the public member on the Council of the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta, the Council on Alberta Teaching Standards and the Teacher’s Practice Review General Panel. Mr. Plecash is a Fellow of Engineers Canada, an honorary Fellow of Geoscientists Canada, and was awarded the APEGA Summit Award for Community Service.

Howden, Michael

Michael Howden has a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Saskatchewan. Directly after graduating, Michael moved to Calgary where he worked as a project accountant for Stearns-Roger. He has a CPA, CMA designation. His career has been primarily in the consulting engineering and construction sectors, gaining broad experience in national and international operations and multi-location Canadian operations. Michael has always kept very involved in community, athletic and not-for-profit boards and committees.
