Bunce, Terry

Terence has served in adjudicative positions in Alberta, including with the Appeals Commission for Workers’ Compensation, the Public Health Appeal Board, the Persons with Developmental Disabilities Appeal Secretariat, the Health Disciplines Board, the AISH/IES Appeal Board, and hearing adjudication in Alberta’s correctional facilities.

Georgsen, Samantha

Samantha Georgsen has a public relations practice, helping clients across western Canada reach their strategic communication and advocacy goals. She previously held various roles at all three levels of government, including in the areas of health, education and environment. Samantha has two decades of board and committee experience with various local community groups in both Calgary and Edmonton.


Liu, John

John Liu, ICD.D, CPA, CA, BComm. serves as Secretary-Treasurer of Westmount Charter School Society, a school board with a charter granted by the Minister of Education. John is also the Co-Founder of HFDP Management Ltd., a Calgary-based consultancy.


John is a Member of the National Board of Directors and former Vice Chair of Supply Chain Canada, and has previously served as a Commissioner with the Calgary Police Commission, Vice Chair of the Alberta Association of Police Governance and as a Board Member with Brickburn Funds Inc.

Slenders, Wilma

Wilma Slenders is the president of Transcend Management Advisors, a Calgary-based consulting firm, and co-founder/owner of Kaleidoscope Holdings, a real estate holdings company that owns and operates multi-unit residential properties in Calgary. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she held leadership roles with global consulting firm, Accenture, a provincial social services organization, and in municipal government. With strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build and cultivate relationships, Wilma often influences without authority to create consensus among diverse individuals. She applies integrity, accountability, strong decision-making skills, adaptability and a passion for progress to all engagements. She is known for her ability to challenge the status quo to create innovative solutions.


Wilma holds a Master of Science in Management from Boston University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership from Capella University, Minneapolis and Professional Certified Coach, Certified Management Consultant, and Change Management Professional designations. She has held numerous executive board positions in sports, arts, and social welfare organizations. She is a certified Board Development trainer and has consulted not-for-profit organizations in the areas of strategic planning, governance, and succession planning.
