Elzinga, Christine
Dr. Christine Elzinga obtained her MD from the University of Calgary in 1984 after completing a BA in Psychology from the University of Alberta. She completed a Family Medicine Residency at the Calgary General Hospital in 1986, and then practiced Family Medicine in Calgary until 2008. She then moved to a position as a Clinical Associate physician at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, retiring from clinical medicine in May 2019. Dr. Elzinga was a physician member of the Alberta Mental Health Review Board from June 2016 to January 2020.
Jorgensen, Gayleen
Dr. Gayleen Jorgensen is a Calgary Family Physician who has practiced in many facets of this discipline. She has served in general office practice, hospital care, emergency medicine and in long term care. She is especially passionate about obstetrics and is a founding member of the Peter Lougheed Maternity Care Clinic. She is a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary. Outside of medicine Dr. Jorgensen is an enthusiastic naturalist and volunteers hundreds of hours a year to teaching primarily school children about our wonderful natural world.
Akindipe, Stephen
Ayodele (Stephen) Akindipe is a Certified Family Physician who practices comprehensive family medicine at two designated rural Central Alberta communities. Stephen is currently the Vice Chair of the Big Country Primary Care Network. He has been on the board for over five years. Stephen is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners of the United Kingdom and Certificant of the Canadian College of Family Physicians. Stephen holds Faculty appointments in the Departments of Family Medicine at both the Universities of Alberta and Calgary.
