James, Robin
Robin began her career with Lethbridge Housing Authority in 2006 and was appointed the Chief Administrative Officer in 2017. In this role, she leads the delivery of nearly 1000 units of affordable, supportive, and transitional housing, as well as the newly expanded Wellness Shelter operated in partnership with the Blood Tribe Department of Health. Under her leadership, the organization also delivers a range of essential services, including Rent Assistance programs, the Gender-Based Violence Benefit, Housing-Connect initiatives and Homelessness Support Services.
Robin is driven by a vision to create a comprehensive housing continuum – one that meets individuals where they are and supports them with safe, recovery focused and affordable housing options. Her goal is to empower clients to achieve their highest level of independence and long-term success. In recognition of her exceptional commitment to providing affordable secure housing for the community of Lethbridge, Robin was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in March 2025. Most recently, Robin has taken on an additional leadership role as Co-Chair for the Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services Advisory Panel on Homelessness.

McDonald, Karen
Karen McDonald is the Executive Director of Sage Seniors Association and Provincial Director of Healthy Aging Alberta (HAA). She brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in seniors’ services, seniors’ housing, continuing care, and nonprofit governance. Karen serves as Chair of Alberta’s Community Leadership Council for the community-based seniors' serving (CBSS) sector/HAA and as Co-Chair of the Canadian CBSS Community Leadership Council. Karen is Treasurer of the Muttart Foundation Board of Directors. She holds an MBA and BA from the University of Alberta.
Stewart, David
Dr. David Stewart has been a dedicated Family Physician in Lethbridge since 1999. His education occurred at the Universities of Alberta, Calgary and Western Ontario.
For 25 years, he cared for patients at Family Medical Centre in Lethbridge, building lasting relationships within the community. Dr. Stewart currently cares for patients in many supportive living environments as part of a larger team. He enjoys interacting with patients and their loved ones and greatly respects the many other providers of a variety of disciplines that he gets to work alongside.
Dr. Stewart has served in a variety of medical leadership roles. He has served as the Chinook Medical Staff Association President, Co-Chair of the South Zone Primary Care Network Committee, a Chinook and Palliser Primary Care Network Board member, South Zone Medical Advisory Council Chair, the Associate Zone Medical Director and most recently as the interim Zone Medical Director and Corridor Medical Lead in the South Zone and Southwest Corridor for Alberta Health Services.
Dr. Stewart and his wife Karri enjoy spending time outdoors in a variety of physical endeavours, as well as time with children and grandchildren.
Overguard, Heidi
Heidi Overguard is a former Director with Alberta Health Services. Her governance experience includes serving as a board member of the Rural Health Professions Action Plan and as Vice-Chair of the Sundre Hospital Futures Committee. Heidi was a founding member and Chair of the Sundre Health Professional Attraction and Retention Committee. In addition, she serves as Vice-Chair of the Mountain View County Municipal Planning Commission. Heidi holds a Photojournalism and Journalism Diploma (Honours) from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, as well as a Women in Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. In 2023, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
