Wardley, Lisa
Lisa Wardley is a proud Alberta Northerner with extensive experience in municipal governance, public safety, housing, economic development, tourism, and environmental stewardship. She has contributed to initiatives including Enhanced Policing Agreements, the Boreal Housing Foundation, Community Support Services, and Victim Services. As a founding member of the Alberta Parole Board, Lisa brings strong governance expertise and a commitment to community safety, accountability, and rehabilitation.
Takacs, Shelly
Shelly Takacs is a Consultant with Recovery Alberta and Chair of the Provincial Parole Board, appointed Acting Chair in November 2025 and Chair in March 2026. Her career spans law enforcement, forensic mental health, and justice initiatives, including roles with Police and Crisis Teams (PACTs), the RCMP's Behavioural Sciences Group, and Alberta Hospital Edmonton. She holds a BA in Criminology and an MA in Sociology, and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for her contributions to justice and community safety.
Paterson, Craig
A former chair of the Central Alberta Mental Health Review Panel, former crown prosecutor with the Alberta Department of Justice, and an army and naval reservist with the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years, Craig Paterson has more than 20 years of legal experience in the criminal justice and family law fields – most recently as a barrister and solicitor with Paterson & Company. Craig holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Alberta, and a Master of Arts in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada.
Tripathy, Angela
Angela Tripathy holds a Bachelor of Science and a Juris Doctor and has built a distinguished career in social services, law, executive leadership, and governance. She has served as Vice-President and General Counsel across multiple sectors and held director-level leadership roles within national law firms. Most recently, she was Chief Executive Officer of the Gwich’in Tribal Council, leading initiatives in Indigenous governance, treaty negotiations, community development, and organizational excellence.
Hallett, Randy
Randy Hallett served eight years as a street Constable with the Calgary Police Service, enforcing the Criminal Code and various statues, responding to emergencies, patrolling communities, regulating traffic and maintaining public order. Randy worked 14 years as a Labour Mediator with Alberta Labour, facilitating dispute resolution between unions and employers. He later served 10 years as a labour relations consultant/ mediator for a large Canadian retailer. Randy is a Certified Financial Planner holding a retired status.
Randy Hallett was directly recruited and appointed to the Alberta Parole Board on the basis of acceptably meeting the competencies, skills and attributes required by the Board.
