Mahmood, Usman
Mr. Usman Mahmood holds bachelor and doctorate degrees in law. He is an experienced lawyer having worked in the areas of criminal, immigration, and real estate law. He is currently the Managing Partner at CKM Law LLP.
Mr. Mahmood was appointed to the Life Insurance Council as a public member on January 31, 2021. He also has decades of volunteer experience, having served over 20 years with Humanity First Canada. He is also the Vice President of the North East Centre of Community Society.
Mensch, Laura
Laura Mensch is a lawyer practicing labour and employment law with a national law firm. Laura has experience as a director of a number of non-profit organizations. Laura has a Bachelor of Laws from the University Calgary, a Master of Public Administration from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with Distinction from the University of Lethbridge. She frequently speaks on labour and employment topics for clients and professional organizations and has authored numerous articles on these topics.
