Mr. Sanjeev Kad has been on the SAIT board of governors since March 2022. Mr. Kad is the owner and Managing Director of three Boston Pizza franchises in Calgary, as well as an International Cricket Official. He is an active community volunteer. Mr. Kad has served on several boards, including the Strathcona Community Association. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Hospitality from Finland’s HELIA Institute and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi.
Competencies required for members of the Board of Governors of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology include the core competencies of leadership and governance, as well as the preferred competencies of finance, human resources, legal, risk management, and/or strategic planning. Mr. Kad was reappointed on the basis of meeting the competencies, skills, and attributes as described above. April 2025.
