Zielke, Sayeh

Dr. Sayeh Zielke is an author, medical director and cardiologist based in Lethbridge, Alberta. She is the Medical Director of Chinook Cardiology, which she established in 2013, and of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, part of the Alberta Healthy Living Program of Alberta Health Services.

Dr. Zielke recently served as vice-chair and board member of Alberta Health Services Board from 2020-22, during which she further served as chair of the Quality and Safety Committee and vice-chair of the Human Resources Committee.

Dr. Zielke completed her Master of International Business Administration in 2001 at the University of Ottawa. She went on to receive her medical doctorate, also from the University of Ottawa, and was class valedictorian. Dr. Zielke completed her internal medicine and cardiology residencies at the University of Calgary. She further completed training in both cardiac CT and echocardiography at the Royal Brompton Hospital and John Radcliffe Hospital – University of Oxford Hospitals in the U.K. Dr. Zielke is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, having received her ICD.D. designation in 2022. She currently holds faculty appointments as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary, Department of Cardiac Sciences, Cummings School of Medicine, and at the University of Lethbridge, Department of Neuroscience as Adjunct Associate Professor.

Competencies required for members of Assisted Living Alberta include the core competencies of leadership and governance as well as preferred competencies of finance, human resources, legal, risk management, and/or strategic planning. Dr. Zielke was directly appointed on the basis of meeting the competencies, skills, and attributes as described above.

James, Robin

Robin began her career with Lethbridge Housing Authority in 2006 and was appointed the Chief Administrative Officer in 2017. In this role, she leads the delivery of nearly 1000 units of affordable, supportive, and transitional housing, as well as the newly expanded Wellness Shelter operated in partnership with the Blood Tribe Department of Health. Under her leadership, the organization also delivers a range of essential services, including Rent Assistance programs, the Gender-Based Violence Benefit, Housing-Connect initiatives and Homelessness Support Services.

Robin is driven by a vision to create a comprehensive housing continuum – one that meets individuals where they are and supports them with safe, recovery focused and affordable housing options. Her goal is to empower clients to achieve their highest level of independence and long-term success. In recognition of her exceptional commitment to providing affordable secure housing for the community of Lethbridge, Robin was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in March 2025. Most recently, Robin has taken on an additional leadership role as Co-Chair for the Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services Advisory Panel on Homelessness.
