Carlzon, Jonathan
Jonathan Carlzon has practiced law since 2002 in the areas of human rights, litigation, healthcare and administrative law. Prior to his appointment, Jonathan was the Director of Executive Operations for the Deputy Minister's Office with Alberta Justice. He previously held positions with the Office of the Child & Youth Advocate, Alberta Human Rights Commission, Alberta Health Services, and the Alberta Court of Appeal. He holds a Master of Arts in Leadership & Theology (Regent College), and Juris Doctor (JD) and Bachelor of Arts (University of Alberta). Jonathan also completed an academic fellowship at the Howard College School of Law, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Subsequent to articling with Alberta Justice, Jonathan interned with a legal aid organization in Southern Africa, in conjunction with the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), with whom he has also acted as an international volunteer expert in the area of client counseling & interviewing. He serves on numerous charitable boards.
