Jossa, John

John Martin Jossa has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and a certificate in Government Auditing from the Institute of Internal Auditors. John was most recently the acting manager for the Calgary Police Service, Operations Audit. He has since served on the Alberta Transportation Safety Board and the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists. John is also currently a director of the Medicine Hat Kiwanis club and has volunteered with the Alberta Summer Games.

Gibbons Kroeker, Carol

Dr. Carol Gibbons Kroeker holds a BSc in Mathematics and Zoology, a Master’s degree in Biomechanics, and a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology from the University of Calgary, where she currently teaches Anatomy and Physiology. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Cumming School of Medicine. Her research interests focus on cardiac mechanics and teaching pedagogy. She is currently the Chair of the Biology Articulation Committee for ACAT (Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfers).

Hansen, Judy

Judy Hansen supports the non-profit sector as a senior management consultant with strengths in governance, strategic planning and non-profit management.

Judy has served on several non-profit Boards and Governance Committees, most recently with Trinity Place Foundation of Alberta.

Judy has significant training in non-profit management including ICD NFP Governance, Harvard Governance as Leadership program, Creating the Future Facilitators training and others.

Judy holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo

Competencies required for members of the council of the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta include governance, risk management and effective verbal communication. Judy Hansen was directly recruited and appointed based on meeting the competencies, skills and attributes as described above.

Kesler, Marlene

Marlene Kesler moved from occupational health and safety to administrative law by earning a Master of Laws (Health Law, Osgoode Hall Law 2020). She also has a Master of Public Health in

Environmental and Occupational Health Science (U. Illinois-Chicago), Bachelor of Physical Education (U. Calgary), and is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional. She worked as a Vice

Chair at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal and in the Social Benefits Tribunal and College of Massage Therapists of Ontario before returning to Alberta in 2023.

MacGillivray, Joseph

Joseph MacGillivray most recently served as Director of Primary Care with the Alex Community Health Centre. Prior he served as Managing Director with the Physician Learning Program at the

Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. He has served on many boards including, the Alberta College of Paramedics and the Provincial Health Ethics Network. He holds a Master of

Science in Health Administration degree from Central Michigan University, a Health Administration diploma from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from St.

Francis Xavier University.
