Baker, Richard

Mr. Richard Baker is the President of BRE Group and Res-Solve Solutions. He has over 38 years of experience in reservoir engineering, simulation, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and thermal projects. He has held senior engineering positions at both Shell and Husky Oil. He is a Distinguished Author Member of the Petroleum Society of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and has received numerous engineering and service awards. Mr. Baker holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary.

Rakka, Ali

Mr. Ali Rakka is a Career Advisor and Personal Development Coach at Columbia College and is a certified Career Development Professional. He currently serves as a member on the Premier’s Council on Multiculturalism. He holds a Human Services Professional diploma (with Distinction) from Columbia College and a certificate specializing in Career and Academic Advising from the University of Calgary.

Charanek, Ali

Mr. Ali Charanek is the Director of Strategic Initiatives with Roynat Capital, Scotiabank. He is an active member of the Calgary community and volunteers with various organizations, including as a Suite Ambassador and General Volunteer with the Kids Up Front Foundation, and a mentor with Easter Seals Canada. Mr. Charanek holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Strategic Leadership from Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.

Han, May

Ms. Hong (May) Han is currently a part-time Vice-President of Business Development with Silver Valley Development Inc., a Testing Assistant and English Language Learner (ELL) Assistant, and an Interpreter with Calgary Board of Education. She serves as a member on the Calgary Police Service Diverse Team Asian Board and City of Calgary Tomorrow’s Chinatown Advisory Board. She is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Medal and Government of Alberta Stars of Alberta Award in Breaking Barriers and Anti-Racism Category. Ms. Han holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Wuhan University in China and a course certificate specializing in Removing Barriers to Change in Organizations from the University of Pennsylvania.

Lodha, Nidhi

Ms. Nidhi Lodha is a Research Assistant with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Calgary. She is the President-Elect and Executive Committee member of Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA) Calgary and was the past Vice- President of volunteer activities and fundraising with RANA. She is a volunteer Hindu chaplain with the Faith and Spirituality Centre at the University of Calgary. She holds a Master of Science degree in Visual Sciences from the Institute of Medical Science in Visual Science of Toronto and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Sawai Man Singh Medical College in India.

Monea, Duane

Mr. Duane Monea is the Administrator-CEO and Principal Advisor to the Chair of the Real Estate Council of Alberta. Prior he was the Vice President of Government and Public Affairs with MEG Energy. He served as a member on the YMCA Calgary Board of Directors and was the past Chair of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta.

Singh Pannu, Amanjot

Mr. Amanjot Singh Pannu is a Reporter and Host with 106.7 RED FM Calgary. He is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal. Mr. Pannu holds a Master of Arts degree in English from Guru Nanak Dev University and a Higher Education diploma in Co-operative Management from the Regional Institute of Co-operative Management.

Sidhu, Harpinder

Mr. Harpinder Sidhu is an insurance professional with about 16 years’ experience and was a Regional Manager with Punjab Insurance Inc. from 2008 to 2024. Mr. Sidhu worked as a volunteer with Heart and Stroke foundation and supported cultural organizations to host musical and cultural events. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology from Punjab Technical University in India.

Tang, Nathan

Mr. Nathan Tang is a Respiratory Therapist with Pulmonary Function Lab C-Health in Calgary. Prior to this, Mr. Tang was a Community Tester/COVID-19 Immunization Support with Alberta Health Services in Calgary. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with double major in Biological Sciences/Psychology from University of Alberta and Respiratory Therapy Diploma from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
