Gallimore, Dean

Mr. L. Dean Gallimore has been on the board since October 2019. He is the Chair of the Finance Committee and member on the Executive Committee and the Human Resources and Compensation Committee. He is a former Corporate Director of the Agriculture Financial Services Corporation and former Office Managing Partner with KPMG LLP in Lethbridge. He served as Trustee and Chair of the Chartered Accountants Education Foundation of Alberta, Chair of the University of Lethbridge Faculty of Management Advisory Council, and Director of the University of Lethbridge Alumni Association. He holds a Bachelor of Management degree in Accounting from the University of Lethbridge and is a Professional Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.

Davis, Sherry

Ms. Sherry Davis is a Senior Financial Advisor with ATB Wealth. She volunteers throughout the community serving as an Assistant Governor for the Lethbridge Rotary Clubs of District 5360 and is President of the Original Breakfast Club. She is a strong supporter of the University of Lethbridge and currently participates on the Advisory Council for the Student Management Investment Fund and is a retired University of Lethbridge Senator. She holds a Bachelor of Management degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Lethbridge. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

Boulet, Toby

Mr. Toby Boulet is a retired teacher from Winston Churchill High School. He serves as a member on several boards, including the David Foster Foundation: Donate Life Canada, the Canadian Transplant Association, Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame, and KidSport Lethbridge/Taber. He is a founding member of Green Shirt Day. He holds a Master of Education with Distinction degree in Leadership and Curriculum Design and a Bachelor of Education with Distinction degree with a major in Physical Education from the University of Lethbridge.

Dymond, Anne

Dr. Anne Dymond is an Associate Professor of Art History and Museum Studies in the Department of Art at the University of Lethbridge. In 2018, she was honoured as a University of Lethbridge Board of Governor's Teaching Chair. In 2019, she was awarded the University of Lethbridge Senate Volunteer Award for her work supporting Syrian refugees in Southern Alberta. She is Treasurer of the Universities Art Association of Canada, and an editor of the premiere national art history journal, RACAR. She has a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts degree in Art History and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English and Art History from Queen's University.

Casson, Richard

Mr. Richard Casson was a Member of Parliament representing the riding of Lethbridge from 1997 to 2011, during which he served as Chair for the Special Committee on Afghanistan and the Standing Committee on National Defense. He is a former Manager of Print Services at the University of Lethbridge and the former Mayor of Picture Butte. In 2010, he was appointed to the Queen's Privy Council for Canada in recognition of his many years of dedication and hard work in the House of Commons. He has his Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D designation and is the recipient of an honorary degree from the University of Lethbridge.

Burton, Bev

Dr. Bev Burton is a rural family physician at the Associate Clinic in Pincher Creek. She is co-chair of the Chinook Primary Care Network and is a member on the Alberta Health Services South Zone Primary Care Operations and Advisory Committee. She volunteers as the Alberta, Northwest Territories, and Yukon Girl Engagement Coordinator and International Advisor for Girl Guides. She holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lethbridge.

Van Mulligen, Nikki

Ms. Nikki Van Mulligen is a lawyer with MMH Lawyers LLP in Lethbridge. She is the President of the Lethbridge Bar Association and Board Chair of the Ability Resource Association. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Calgary.

Johnson, David

Mr. David Johnson is the Executive Director of the Alberta Charitable Casino Operators. He currently sits as a member of the Standards Panel at FP Canada, a national professional body working in the public interest that is dedicated to fostering better financial health for Canadians. He recently completed terms as the alumni member of the General Faculties Council and the Academic Governing Council at MacEwan University.


Mr. Johnson is a Certified Professional Planner and holds a Management Studies diploma from MacEwan University, a Bachelor or Arts degree in Management from the University of Lethbridge, a Master of Business of Administration degree from the EDHEC Business School in France and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School.

Chapman, William

Mr. William Chapman retired as a Transit Operator with Lethbridge Transit in 2021. He is currently serving as President of the Highway 3 Twinning Development Association, an elected Town Councillor in Coaldale, a member of the Coaldale & District Chamber of Commerce, and Vice-chair of Barons-Eureka-Warner Family and Community Support Services Board. He has previously served on numerous boards and committees in leadership and volunteer capacities, including prior service as a government appointed student member on The Governors of The University of Lethbridge. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Lethbridge and completed the Economic Development Program at the University of Waterloo.

Gonci, Darcy

Mr. Darcy Gonci is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has held several senior financial controller positions and most recently was the Vice President of MNP Corporate Finance Ltd. He holds a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Management degree in Finance from the University of Lethbridge.

Fox, Terri-Lynn

Dr. Terri-Lynn Fox is the Director of Kainai Wellness Centre in Calgary and an Instructor at  Mount Royal University. She is a Treaty 6, 7 and 8 representative on the Health Co-Management Subcommittee, an Indigenous representative on the Indigenous Integration Committee and a board member on the Thunderbird Partnership Foundation. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Calgary, a Master of Arts degree in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge.

Lockett, Monica

Ms. Monica Lockett is a Communications Specialist with the University of Lethbridge’s Department of Communications, Marketing and Government Relations. She served as President on The Meliorist Publishing Society Board of Directors and volunteered at Interfaith Food Bank Society, as a Communications Intern. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Lethbridge and a Communication Arts Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Lethbridge College.

Dixit, Yash

Mr. Yash Dixit was recently elected as the Vice President (Operations and Finance) of the University of Lethbridge Students’ Union. He is also a Disability Support Worker with Quest Support in Lethbridge. He currently pursuing his Bachelor of Management in Finance at the University of Lethbridge. May/2024

Thomas, Maleeka

Ms. Maleeka Thomas is the University of Lethbridge Students’ Union President for the 2023/24 academic year. Ms. Thomas is an active student leader and volunteer with the Pre-law Society, World Universities Service Canada (WUSC), the Lethbridge Food Bank, and Girls That Empower. She is a student in the Faculty of Arts and Science, pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Anthropology at the University of Lethbridge.

Reiter, Jaxon

Mr. Jaxon Reiter is the President of the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) for the 2023/24 academic year. He served as an independent representative for the GSA in the 2022/23 academic year. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Lethbridge. He is now a Master of Science candidate in Biological Sciences at the University of Lethbridge, studying developmental genetics and reproduction in plants.

Kawchuk, Michael

Mr. Michael Kawchuk is a Financial Planner with TD Wealth. Prior to this role, he was an Investment Banker with BMO Wealth Management. He served as a member on the Municipal Planning Commission with the City of Lethbridge, was a member of the Budget Advisory Committee with the University of Lethbridge, and participated on the Dean of Management Search Committee. Mr. Kawchuk holds a Bachelor of Management in Finance from the University of Lethbridge.

Mercader, Adriana

Ms. Adriana Mercader is the Chief Executive Officer of Flexahopper Plastics Ltd. She first joined Flexahopper Plastics in 2009 as Director of Marketing and advanced to Corporate Vice President in 2015. She was deemed one of Lethbridge’s Top 40 under 40 by the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce. She is the past President of Economic Development Lethbridge. She previously served as a member on the Nominations Committee with the YWCA Board of Directors.

Westwood, David

Mr. David Westwood is an executive professional with over 25 years of Canadian and international experience in managing all aspects of an organization, including operations, sales, finance, and administration. He is currently the General Manager of the St. Mary River Irrigation District, Canada's largest Irrigation District, with operations spanning from Raymond to Medicine Hat, Alberta. He has previously held the positions of general manager at Planet Labs Geomatics, Chief Financial Officer of the Blackbridge group of companies, and Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at H&R Transport. Mr. Westwood is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge.

Zielke, Sayeh

Dr. Sayeh Zielke is an author, medical director and cardiologist based in Lethbridge. She currently serves as Medical Director of the Chinook Cardiology. Dr. Zielke received her IMBA, and MD both from the University of Ottawa. She completed her internal medicine and cardiology residencies at the University of Calgary and completed additional training in cardiac CT and Echocardiography in Oxford and London, England. She currently holds faculty appointments with the University of Calgary and the University of Lethbridge.

Bester, Cyndi

Ms. Cyndi Bester is currently the President of the University of Lethbridge Alumni Association. Ms. Bester is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce. She serves as a Co-Chair of the Reconciliation Lethbridge Advisory Committee and as a member of the Community Wellbeing and Safety Advisory Committee. Ms. Bester is also on the YWCA Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of the Lethbridge Hurricanes. She recently completed her terms on the University of Lethbridge Senate and Economic Development Lethbridge. Ms. Bester is a solo concert pianist, performing in Canada, England, Poland, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and the United States. She holds a Master of Education degree and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Lethbridge. She also possesses a Post Graduate Certification in Executive Coaching and Leadership through the Napoleon Hill Foundation at Purdue University.

Coburn, Craig

Dr. Craig Coburn is a remote sensing scientist working in the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of Lethbridge. He serves as Chair of the Department of Geography and Environment and is also the Coordinator of the Environmental Science Program within the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Dr. Coburn previously served on The Governors of The University of Lethbridge from 2021 to 2024. Dr. Coburn is the President of the Western Division of the Canadian Association of Geographers, Convocation Marshal, Scientific Committee Member of MIGARSS (Mediterranean International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium), Editor of Western Geography, and Guest Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Remote Sensing. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Science degree from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
