Thompson, Floyd
Floyd Thompson has been on the board of Portage College since May 2018. He is a long-time member of the Kikino Metis Settlement. He has served many years as an elected government official, serving as councillor and chairman in his community of Kikino, and has served six years on the Métis Settlements General Council. Mr. Thompson received an honorary Diploma in Social Work from Portage College, which recognizes the years of service he provided throughout his career and his time as a member on the Board of Portage College.
Collins, Phyllis
Phyllis Collins was involved with the Metis Settlements Appeals Tribunal for nine years and was appointed Vice-Chair in February 2015. She has completed some mediation and administrative tribunal coursework. Ms. Collins governance experience includes Vice-President of the Youth Justice Committee, an Elder with the Aboriginal Headstart Board, the CFSA Region 10 Board, the FCSS Provincial Board, Alberta Health Services Council and as a Trustee with Lakeland Catholic Board of Education.
Callihoo, Dennis
Dennis Callihoo has been a practicing lawyer since 1990. He is a Qualified Aribitrator and Designated Tribunal Member with the Foundation of Justice. He has a strong administrative tribunal background and has chaired numerous panels. He has been a member of various appeal bodies including two terms on the Law Enforcement Review Board providing him with considerable administrative tribunal experience.
