Hubble, Donald

Don Hubble is an entrepreneur and co-owner of a successful business operating in Southern Alberta, generating over $14 million in annual sales. Hubble earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1986 and is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta. Hubble began his career as an engineer with Procter & Gamble Inc. in 1986, advancing to the position of Site Transition Group Manager by 1996, where he led various initiatives in Alberta and Ontario. He went on to hold senior management positions with Lafarge Canada Inc. and George Weston over the following decade. Hubble is now the co-owner, President, and General Manager of Chin Ridge Seeds Ltd.

Hubble is a loving father and a highly valued member of his community, contributing his time to local organizations such as Minor Hockey, High School Organizations and political initiatives. When Hubble is not focused on his business or community work, you can find him running, hiking, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Jaber, Sam

Sam Jaber is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tax Pros Franchise Corporation, a tax filing firm that supports franchisees in building profitable businesses. He oversees franchise management, ensures compliance with government regulations, and implements efficient, cost-effective strategies. Jaber is also the Founder and CEO of Jaberson & Associates and serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the MHCare Group of Companies.

Jaber earned a degree in Business Administration and Management degree from Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon, as well as a Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration (Accounting) from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Since 2009, he is an Associate Member of the Association of International Accountants in London, UK.

In addition, Jaber actively participates in community and political initiatives, including involvement with the Medical Relief Group and the United We Stand Foundation.

Price, Robert

Robert Price is one of the founders and the Chief Executive Officer of Bode, a peer-to-peer real estate platform that recently launched in Alberta. Prior to founding Bode, Price was a senior executive at Axia FibreNet, an Alberta-based telecom disruptor that delivers high-performing, low-cost fiber infrastructure to customers in Alberta, The U.S., France and Singapore.

Price earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Entrepreneurship from the University of the Pacific in California. Price began his career as a Business Analyst in Global Business Development at Axia FibreNet and progressed through various senior executive roles before pursuing his own entrepreneurial adventures, including Price, Boychuk and Jackson Developments Corporation and Bode.

Price also serves as an advisor to companies such as Symend and Pedal Pub and was recognized as one of Calgary’s Top 40 under 40. His venture Bode has also earned accolades such as the top 15 Innovator Award by the Startup Calgary in 2020. Price thrives in leading high performing teams who deliver amazing customer experiences and meet critical revenue objectives.

Redford, Alison

The Hon. Alison Redford is a Canadian lawyer and former politician who served as the 14th Premier of Alberta from October 7, 2011, to March 23, 2014.

Redford has served as a strategic advisor to governments and industry and has over 30 years of experience in regulatory reform, social and environmental sustainability, and energy transition policy. Redford established the Sustainable Energy Endowment at the Inter-American Development Bank and is a strong proponent of inclusive project development, establishing commercial partnerships between government, industry, and civil society to promote integrated infrastructure planning, community development and environmental protection, providing commercial certainty for investors.

Redford graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law and holds a Master of Arts from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Redford also holds the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Gunn, Ian

With over 30 years of experience as a trusted advisor to senior executives, in addition to small and large enterprises, Ian Gunn has played a pivotal role in helping individuals and organizations nationwide in areas of finance, audit and business consulting.

Gunn started his career with PwC Canada in 1985, and before becoming a partner in 1996 with Coopers & Lybrand, and after the historic merger with Price Waterhouse, continued as a partner with PwC. In 2005, Gunn moved to Calgary to lead the Private Company Services team and served as PwC’s Leader for Real Estate Services. In this role, he specialized in financial reporting processes, accounting, tax, and business issues. With clients in various cities across Canada and the UK, he gained invaluable insights and a deep understanding of various businesses and economies. Additionally, Gunn served on the Board of PwC for eight years, where he contributed to various committees, including Governance, Finance, and Partner affairs, as the board provided oversight of operations for one of the largest professional services firms in Canada.

Gunn is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA, CMA) with a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) from the University of Waterloo. He also holds the Institute of Corporate Directors Director (ICD.D) designation.

Fernandez, Robert

Over the past 30 years, Robert Fernandez has held senior and executive roles in both private and public sectors across Europe and Canada. From 1983 to 2000, he worked with technology giant Siemens AG in senior corporate and marketing positions across Europe. Before joining the Government of Alberta’s (GoA) Treasury Board and Finance team in 2008, he worked in senior and executive level positions with companies such as Pace Industrial Inc. (Vector Industries), Johnson Controls L.P. and FoodTeller. Fernandez served in senior and executive level positions with GoA until 2016 and in 2018 joined Stuart Olson Inc. as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Western Canada. He is currently the President of the Mansbach Advisory Group, a strategy and advisory services firm providing advice for decision makers, investors, government officials and entrepreneurs.

Fernandez has also contributed to his community through service on several boards, including Alberta Foundation for the Arts (Board Member), The Citadel Theatre (Board Member and Vice Chair), Junior Achievement of Canada (National Board Member), and Junior Achievement of Alberta and the Northwest Territories (Chairman, Past Chair, and Executive Director). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Sc MBA) from AKAD University in Düsseldorf, Germany, and a Telecommunications Engineering diploma (CET) from the Chamber of Trades in Hamburg, Germany.

Dhillon, Bob

President, CEO & founder of Mainstreet Equity Corp. Dhillon is also the owner of National Payments, a Visa and MasterCard approved Merchant Processing business for the financial service industry. Mr. Dhillon currently sits on the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Board, the biggest Canadian Crown Corporation. In March 2018, The University of Lethbridge, in honour of Bob Dhillon, renamed their business school to the Dhillon School of Business, which aims to provide innovative approaches to education with an emphasis on futuristic learning. Mr. Dhillon completed his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 1998.
