Paterson, Craig
A former chair of the Central Alberta Mental Health Review Panel, former crown prosecutor with the Alberta Department of Justice, and an army and naval reservist with the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years, Craig Paterson has more than 20 years of legal experience in the criminal justice and family law fields – most recently as a barrister and solicitor with Paterson & Company. Craig holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Alberta, and a Master of Arts in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada.
Takacs, Shelly
Shelly Takacs is a Project Manager with Provincial Addictions and Mental Health, Mental Health & Justice team at Alberta Health Services. This portfolio provides specialized services for complex needs clients who are in conflict with the criminal justice system. She was previously with the Alberta RCMP Behavioural Sciences Group and was a Forensic Therapist at the Alberta Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology from the University of Alberta and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Sociology, Criminal Justice.
Tripathy, Angela
Angela M. Tripathy holds a Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate working first as a social worker then as a lawyer and strategic executive. She has worked with countless social causes, not for profit and business boards. As Vice-President and General Counsel she was employed in the pipeline construction, land acquisition, homebuilding, education and insurance industries. She has also utilized her business expertise as the Director of both Tax Law and Administrative Law for a national law firm.
Hanson, Rick
Rick Hanson has spent over 40 years in policing, most recently as Chief of Police of the Calgary Police Service. In this role, he was responsible for administering a $450 million dollar budget and a staff of 2700. Prior to this position, Rick was the Chief Superintendent of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police “K” Division, in charge of all integrated policing strategies within Alberta. Rick earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary and also completed the Federal Bureau of Investigation Leadership in Counter-terrorism program.
Bourassa, Paul
Paul M. Bourassa is the principal of BL&SS: Bourassa Law & Strategic Services, located in Calgary. He assists clients to recover stolen assets due to fraud and corruption. He also trains law enforcement, prosecutors and judiciary on combating money laundering and terrorist financing. Paul volunteers as a board member with the Canadian Bar Association, l’Association des juristes d‘expression française de l‘Alberta and the Legal Education Society of Alberta. Prior to BL&SS, Paul had a distinguished career as Federal Crown Prosecutor.
Wardley, Lisa
Lisa Wardley has been Councilor for Mackenzie County, Ward 10 Zama and Area for the last 16 years. Lisa is highly involved within her community and currently holds positions on multiple organizations, including Chairperson of the Regional Economic Development Initiative of Northwest Alberta, the Director of the Mackenzie Frontier Tourist Association and the Chairperson of the North West Species at Risk Committee. She also acts as Executive Director of the Zama Recreation Society and the Chairperson/Librarian of the Zama City Public Library.
