Asbell, Mark

Mark Asbell, K.C. is a nationally recognized arbitrator, mediator, and adjudicator and a member of the North American based National Academy of Arbitrators. Admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1985, Mark has over 30 years of adjudicative experience including 17 years as Chair of the Alberta Labour Relations Board, and appointments to the Law Society of Alberta's Discipline Committee, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and various other provincial boards. 

Yingst Bartel, Cheryl

Cheryl Yingst Bartel is a Labour and Employment Arbitrator, named to several rosters, both federally and provincially. She holds both undergraduate and graduate diplomas in Law and has been resolving disputes for more than 30 years.

Cheryl arbitrates in a wide variety of industries and is currently the Western Arbitrator for the Canadian Railroad Office of Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.

Kaukas, Adam

Adam Kaukas is a labour and employment lawyer who works primarily with employers to navigate the complex issues arising in the modern workplace.

Adam has extensive experience in the regulation of workplace disputes before boards of labour arbitration, labour relations boards and human rights tribunals. Adam holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta.

Letourneau, Adam

Adam Letourneau, K.C. is the managing partner of LETOURNEAU LLP Lawyers | Arbitrators | Mediators. He was appointed as King's Counsel in 2015. His practice currently focusses on Arbitration, Mediation and Family Law. He has arbitrated, adjudicated and mediated many disputes in employment, labour, family, civil, business and other matters. Adam was an adjunct professor for 8 years at the University of Lethbridge Dhillon School of Business, teaching Employment and Labour Law and Business Law.

Rosinski, Leanne

Leanne Rosinski is the Associate Director, Labour Relations at the Association of Academic Staff University of Alberta and oversees the services provided by labour relations officers to approximately 4,000 academic staff. Leanne has held many board leadership roles (a few of which are the City of Edmonton, Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues, McLeod Community League, Area Council #17) and currently sits on the Alberta Labour Relations Board. Leanne holds a Master of Laws and a Bachelor of Education and is a professional investigator.

Turcza-Karhut, Anna

Anna is a practicing lawyer who graduated from the University of Alberta in 2008 and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2009. Anna sits as a chairperson of two professional disciplinary boards. In 2022, Anna won the Lexpert Rising Stars National Award for leading lawyers under 40 who have made outstanding contributions in their careers.

Umarji, Nazrina

Nazrina Umarji received her Bachelor of Education (with Distinction) and her Juris Doctor degrees both from the University of Alberta. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2006.

Since 2006, Nazrina has practiced in a variety of areas of the law with a focus on civil litigation and administrative law. Nazrina is currently the Director of Legal Services and General Counsel for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Nazrina also serves as a volunteer Adjudicator for the Law Society of Alberta, and as a member of the Canadian Bar Association of Alberta – Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. Nazrina is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, and Civida.
