Fujino, Jack
Jack Fujino brings over four decades of experience in engineering, large project management and corporate management to AGLC’s Board. As senior vice-president of Stantec’s environmental group, Jack assessed, coordinated and developed projects from not only an engineering and environmental perspective, but also from an operational and financial auditing perspective. With a well-rounded professional tenure in feasibility, acquisitions and operations, Jack adds his diverse experience to his role as a member of AGLC’s Board. Jack holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and has previously served as a director on the Alberta Chamber of Resources, Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems, and Consulting Engineers of Alberta.

Wayne Drysdale has over 20 years of government experience with an emphasis on strategic planning and public policy. Wayne previously served as Grande Prairie-Wapiti’s Member of the Legislative Assembly, Alberta’s Minister of Infrastructure and Minister of Transportation.
He has extensive community involvement experience including serving as vice-chair and founding member of the Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Medical Service, Community Futures Grande Prairie & Region and Grande Spirit Foundation.

Mr. Larry Spagnolo is the Vice President and General Manager of Emerson Zedi Cloud SCADA Solutions. Prior to, he served as Chief Commercial Officer and President of Zedi US with Zedi Inc., and held several leadership positions with TELUS and Sony Canada. He is currently a board member of uDigit Systems and a former member of the Board of Governors of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology’s School of Business, MacEwan University, Rotman School of Management-University of Toronto, and York University, with studies in business and administration.

Garett has been in the Oil & Gas Industry for 40 years. He started his first business 35 years ago and has 2 businesses today, a commercial property company and a manufacturing company. He is President of Red Deer based, GenTex Industries Inc. a design, manufacturing, service & parts facility for truck, trailer, and skid mounted equipment for the domestic and international market. Born in Red Deer and raised in the County, Garett and his wife live on a small hobby farm just west of the city. He has volunteered in many events, from political (municipal, provincial, federal) campaigns & elections to various community fundraising events. Over the last 25+ years, he has used his experience committing many hours to many worthy charities and institutions. Garett continues to promote Alberta and Red Deer as a great place to do business and raise a family.

Joan Crockatt has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan, a Journalism Fellowship from the University of Toronto and management studies at London School of Economics. She is the President and CEO at Crockatt Communications and a former Member of Parliament, serving on Natural Resources, Status of Women and Ethics, Parliamentary Committees. She is an award-winning journalist, a crisis communications consultant and a national public affairs commentator. Joan has extensive experience serving profit and not-for-profit agencies, including as Chair of the Calgary Herald Editorial Board, Calgary Stampede Board, Calgary Parent Support Association, Alzheimer’s Innovation, and the Alberta College of Art and Design Fundraising Committee.
Competencies required for members of the Citizen’s Appeal Panel include understanding the quasi-judicial appeal process and issues impacting Albertans, the ability to apply legislation, communication, teamwork, and writing skills. Joan was appointed based on meeting the competencies, skills and attributes described above.
