Storer, Monica

Monica Storer has over 20 years of pension and benefits experience working in both the private and public sectors and in consulting. Her current role is Leader, HR Governance (Pension & Benefits) for the City of Calgary. Her education includes an Honours B.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto, a post graduate business diploma

from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation, as well as the Advanced Trustee Management Standards (ATMS) designation.

Elliott, Jason

Mr. Jason Elliott has been on the board since 2019. He is the General Manager of People and Culture with the City of Lethbridge and the President of the University of Lethbridge Alumni Association. He holds a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge, an Industrial Relations Certificate from Queen's University, a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from Royal Roads University, and a Public Sector Leadership Certificate from Queen’s University.

He is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources and holds a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge, an Industrial Relations Certificate and a Public Sector Leadership Certificate from Queen's University, a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from Royal Roads University and a Strategic Workforce Planning Certificate from Human Capital Institute.

Jubinville, Denis

Denis became the Branch Manager of Waste Services at the City of Edmonton in July 2021. Previously, Denis led the City of Edmonton's Employee Relations and Compensation branch. Prior to these roles, Denis spent over 26 years as a police officer with the Edmonton Police Service, most recently as the Superintendent of Human Resources Division. Denis holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Denis served two terms as Chair of the former statutory Special Forces Pension Board.

Paton, David

David was appointed to the former statutory Special Forces Pension Board in February 2018 as a nominee of the Edmonton Police Association, and was subsequently appointed to the Corporate Board. He is a sworn officer with the Edmonton Police Service, currently holding the position of Staff Sergeant. David's education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta, the Canadian Securities Course, and he has attained an Advanced Trustee Management Standards (ATMS) designation.

Burdyny, John

John has been a police officer for the Calgary Police Service for 12 years. He has a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University and is a registered candidate for Level 3 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. John has been the VP of Finance for the Calgary Police Association for 5 years and serves on the SFPP Sponsor Board as the Vice-Chair. John brings a unique blend of financial acumen and experience as a police officer to the SFPP Corporate Board.

LaDouceur, Kurtis

Kurtis has been a police officer since 2007, starting with the Calgary Police Service, and now serving with the Medicine Hat Police Service in the major crimes section. Prior to joining the police service, Mr. LaDouceur held several accounting related positions in both banking and the private sector within Canada, Europe, and Asia. Mr. LaDouceur completed the Accelerated Accounting Program from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2000.
