Davis, Stephen
Stephen Davis, BA, BEd, LL.B, is a partner at the Calgary law firm Hadley & Davis where he practised as a criminal defence lawyer for 20 years before shifting his focus to real estate and wills and estates. Prior to law, Stephen was a high school teacher for 8 years in Calgary, Canmore, Drumheller and Tokyo, Japan and a commissioned officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Stephen is an active community volunteer and is currently the President of the John Howard Society of Canada which oversees the operations of 66 independent John Howard societies across the country and he is also involved with the Faculty of Law’s Mooting and Debating program at the U of C.
King, Katherine
Katherine King was Principal of Unlimited Potential Community Services schools from 2001 to 2020 and currently works in a consulting position with the agency. Originally from Saskatchewan, Kathy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Regina, and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. She has close to 40 years of teaching and administration experience, with K-12 band-operated schools in First Nation communities, and with public and independent school boards. Kathy has also worked as a behavioral consultant. She currently volunteers as an executive member for AISCA, has sat as a member of RCSD for Parkland, Evergreen, Leduc and Edmonton. She sits on the Violent Threat Risk Assessment Committee for Parkland/Evergreen and area, and the parent community associations for all UPCS academies.
Penner, Keith
Keith Penner has served as principal of Living Waters Christian Academy for 22 years. He completed his BEd (majors in English Literature and Secondary Education) and Masters of Administrative Leadership (specializing in educational leadership) at Trinity Western University. He has taught and administered in BC, AB and SK. Keith has served on his church board and is Chair of the Association of Christian Schools International Western Canada Board. He has provided workshops on board governance, board administration relations, political engagement, anxiety in the classroom, and new teacher orientation. He served on the RCSD executive team, VTRA leadership team, Tri-county Change Summit, and Practice Review Appeal Committee. Recently Keith was elected to the Association of Independent Schools and Colleges of Alberta board of directors. He received the Spruce Grove Freedom of the City award from the Mayor’s office for community leadership in education. Keith has been married for 29 years and has two children.
Radford Evans, Dee-Ann
As a clinical scientist and consultant in the field of Medical Physics, Dee-Ann Radford Evans has collaborated with physicians, nurses, and academics and presented her clinical work and research internationally. She has trained graduate students and coordinated academic programs. Dee-Ann is the school council chair at her child’s school, and on the advisory board of Kids Come First. She has previous experience on appeal committees through her work and as the former acting chair of the Dino Women’s Field Hockey Alumni Association. Dee-Ann holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Calgary and an MSc in Medical Physics from the University of Texas.
Safran, Laura
Wilcox, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Wilcox graduated with an LL.B. from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta in 1997. After articling with the Alberta Court of Appeal, she practiced law in Edmonton. She later worked for the Department of Labour dealing with the application of the FOIP Act, and published an annotation of the FOIP Act for the Queen’s Printer for several years. A mother to four children, Elizabeth became active in education as her children grew, serving as a board member for school based parent organizations. Elizabeth was later employed by the University of Alberta to assist in the delivery of French language immersion courses in France.
