LaPerle, Shari Anne

Shari LaPerle is a career public servant who currently also serves on the City of Edmonton Subdivision and Development Appeal Board. Shari has previously worked for the Capital Region Board, the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties, and the Government of Alberta. Shari holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta in Political Science.

Chipeur, Barbara

Dr. Barbara Chipeur previously owned and operated a dental practice in Calgary for 25 years. During that time, she served the Alberta community through her membership on a number of non-for-profit organizations. Barbara holds three degrees from the UofA, a Doctor of Dental Surgery, a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education.

Crockatt, Scarlett

Scarlett Crockatt is the Regional VP at Roynat Capital, leading the business from AB to West ON. Her previous role was Director in Scotiabank’s Corporate Investment Banking team. She Chaired the City of Calgary Council Compensation Review Committee and taught a senior year undergraduate Mergers & Acquisitions class (FNCE 465) at the University of Calgary. She was awarded Investment Banker of the Year in 2019 by Women in Finance Canada, holds her MBA (Class President) from Queen’s University, and BComm, Finance from the University of Calgary.

Bayrock, Terrence

Terrence Bayrock is a management consultant in Edmonton with clients throughout Canada and Internationally. He has worked in a variety of industries both in the public and private sectors and particularly in high technology. He serves on several corporate and non-profit boards including the Edmonton Regional Science Council and the Alberta Aviation Museum. Terry is a co-author on three patents, was awarded the 1996 International Who's Who of Management recognition and is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Hawrelko, Kenneth

Ken Hawrelko has worked in the electric utility industry for over 38 years and is currently a consultant assisting utilities in technical and management areas. Ken has served on corporate boards since approx 2005 and is currently board chair of a publishing and educational services delivery company. Ken is a Professional Engineer with a M.Eng from the UofC and B.Sc. from the UofA. He is a Fellow of the Engineers of Canada, and has training in governance essentials and adjudication. He has volunteered with APEGA since 2001 and elected to Council in 2023.
