Keohane, James
Mr. Keohane has been an AIMCo director since 2021. Mr. Keohane is a Certified Financial Analyst and has over 40 years of institutional investing experience, including significant public sector pension plan expertise. From 1999 to 2020, Mr. Keohane held a number of senior positions with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan, including as its President and Chief Executive Officer from 2011 to 2020. He serves on boards of non-profit organizations, including as a Board Trustee of Queen’s University and chairing its Pension Committee and Investment Committee. Mr. Keohane also holds an MBA and an Institute of Corporate Directors designation.
Clark, Phyllis
Phyllis Clark served as the Vice-President (Finance and Administration) and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Alberta, from 2002 to 2016. Previously, she spent five years as Vice-President (Finance and Administration) at York University, and prior to that, she was Assistant Deputy Minister of Ontario’s Management Board Secretariat. Between 1991 and 1992, Ms. Clark was the Province of Ontario’s Chief Economist and Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance.
Ms. Clark graduated from the University of Toronto in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics. She went on to complete her Doctorial Candidacy and Master of Arts in Economics at the University of Michigan in 1973.
Mitchelmore, Lorraine
Ms. Mitchelmore has been an AIMCo director since January 2022. She has more than 30 years of international oil and gas industry experience, as well as private equity expertise. From May 2017 to September 2018, Ms. Mitchelmore served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Enlighten Innovations Inc. (a private equity backed fuel upgrading technology company). From 2002 to 2016, Ms. Mitchelmore held a number of senior roles with Shell Energy North America (Canada) Inc., including serving as its President and Country Chair. She currently serves as a director on the boards of Suncor Energy Inc. and BMO Financial Group. Ms. Mitchelmore holds a Master of Science degree in geophysics and an MBA.
Renaud, Roger
Mr. Roger Renaud is a highly accomplished C-level executive with extensive Canadian and international Board experience and over 10 years as President of successful management firms. Mr. Renaud possesses a track records for driving value creation and transformational change. He has a deep knowledge of financial services, investment products and their distribution. He is a recognized leader with strong communication skills and an ability to build effective teams. Mr. Renaud constantly demonstrated a high level of adaptability and collaboration with clients and key stakeholders.
Mr. Renaud's competencies include: corporate governance; corporate strategy and planning; international experience; corporate transformation; risk management; financial services; investment products; pension plans; and innovation and marketing. Mr. Renaud was directly recruited and appointed based on the skills and competencies as described above.
Singh Dhillon, Navjeet
Mr. Dhillion has been an AIMCo director since October 2022. Mr. Dhillion is an entrepreneur and the founder of Mainstreet Equity Corp. (headquartered in Calgary). He is also the founder and owner of National Payments. Mr. Dhillon has significant board experience, having served on the board of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Invest Alberta and on the Premier’s Alberta Economic Recovery Council. He holds an MBA and an Institute of Corporate Directors designation.
Whitmarsh, Theresa
Ms. Whitmarsh has been an AIMCo director since April 2022. Ms. Whitmarsh has significant institutional investor, business, and governance experience. She currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Washington State Investment Board. Ms. Whitmarsh also has extensive board experience- she currently serves as the chair of FCLTGlobal and as the vice-chair of the Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia University. She holds an MBA in innovation and technology management.
Horsman, Jon
Mr. Horsman is a senior executive with extensive experience in the areas of finance, banking, investment, and capital markets. From 2003 to 2022, Mr. Horsman held a number of senior executive positions with ATB Financial, including as the Senior Executive Vice President of ATB Business and as the Chief Executive Officer of ATB Capital Markets Inc. He has served as chair on the boards of Altacorp Capital Inc. and ATB Private Equity General Partner. Mr. Horsman holds an MBA from the University of Alberta.
Kroner, Ken
Dr. Kenneth (Ken) Kroner was most recently Senior Managing Director at BlackRock, where he was the global head of the Multi-Asset Strategies Group and the global head of Scientific Active Equities. These teams were responsible for managing several hundred billions of dollars of publicly-traded assets. He also served as a member of BlackRock's Global Executive Committee and Global Operating Committee. Dr. Kroner's service with the firm began 1994, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he was responsible for several investment teams, including asset allocation, global macro, currency, active commodity, fund of hedge funds and client solutions. At the time he joined BGI in 1994, Dr. Kroner was an associate professor of economics and finance at the University of Arizona. Dr. Kroner serves or has served on various academic boards, foundation boards and academic journal editorial boards. His research on forecasting volatility and asset returns has been widely published in both academic and practitioner journals. Dr. Kroner earned a BA Honours degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Alberta in 1983 and a PhD in Economics from the University of California at San Diego in 1988.
Montemurro, Jason
Mr. Montemurro is a senior executive with experience in the areas of finance, accounting, and investment. Since 2020, Mr. Montemurro has been the Chairperson of Karma Technologies (Canada) Inc. and was previously a partner with Azimuth Capital Management. He currently works as an energy and financial/capital markets advisor. Mr. Montemurro holds a Bachelor of Laws degree, as well as Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
Hunter, Joel
Mr. Hunter is a senior executive with extensive experience in the areas of audit, taxation, finance, and risk management. Mr. Hunter is currently the Executive Vice-President of Chief Financial Officer of TC Energy. He has been with TC Energy since 1997 and has held a variety of other senior roles within the organization. From 2014 to 2018, he served as a director of TC PipeLines GP, Inc. Mr. Hunter is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
