Perrin, Dennis
Mr. Dennis Perrin is the Alberta and Prairies Director with the Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC), and also manages the union's activities in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. He joined CLAC in 2004 as an Alberta representative in the Edmonton regional office. In 2008, he relocated to the Fort McMurray office where he represented CLAC members working in the oil sands industry. He is a former board member of the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies and Biology from The King's University.
Koslowsky, Ron
Ron is a business leader with various roles (Manitoba and BC) in, construction, insurance, business consulting, and manufacturing spending 20 years at Palliser (VP Human Resources) and supporting their growth to 5,000 employees. His board experiences include Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME – MB and Canada), Workers Compensation Board, Red River College, Apprenticeship Manitoba, Workplace Education Manitoba, and Composite Innovation Centre.
Ron has led CME Manitoba since 2007, representing manufacturing – an industry that contributes 10 per cent of Manitoba’s GDP and employs over 60,000 Manitobans. Ron has expanded CME’s services to help companies grow, leading a team of over 50 dedicated to the mission of helping manufacturers grow.
Krips, Jason
Mr. Jason Krips is the President and Chief Executive Officer with the Alberta Forest Products Association. He has held many senior roles within the Alberta Public Service, including Deputy Minister, Assistant Deputy Minister, and Minister's Chief of Staff with several different ministries spanning over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction degree from the University of Alberta.
Lail, Gurpreet
Ms. Gurpreet Lail is the President and Chief Executive Officer with Enserva. Her leadership career includes more than 20 years in policy accomplishments and government advocacy across western Canada and at national levels from progressive roles at the Fraser Institute and the Manning Center; as Executive Director of Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society; and most recently as President and Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters Calgary.
Lockyer, Tara
Tara Lockyer oversees ATB’s human resources and team member programs, change management, communications, marketing and brand functions. Collectively, these teams activate ATB’s unique culture, enhance the employee experience and help ATB realize its differentiated experience for the benefit of clients and Alberta.
Prior to joining ATB, Tara was the Head of Enterprise Business Engagement and Implementation for global human resources at CIBC and the Global Head of Talent, Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness at Manulife. In those roles, she developed and oversaw a wide variety of human resources programs and initiatives to promote learning, culture, talent management, leadership and professional development. Tara also has experience developing strategies for complex business transformation.
Tara followed a career path from Eastern Canada to Asia before settling with her family in the mountains of Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in business communications from the University of Windsor, a diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier and a Certified Insurance Professional designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Reeder, Darren
Mr. Darren Reeder is President and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Alberta (TIAA), He has over 30-years experience in the not-for-profit sector focused on strategic partnership development, research, advocacy, and media communications, aimed at municipal, provincial and federal business and government audiences. Darren is a nationally-respected thought leader and tourism business development strategist who has been purposefully advancing the growth potential of Alberta’s visitor economy as a way of driving regional economic renewal, new product investment, and, expanded visitation to Alberta.
Prior to assuming the role of President and CEO of TIAA, Darren worked extensively with Alberta business organizations as a public relations strategist through his own company, 2thePOINT Public Relations, where client included organizations such as the Calgary Hotel Association, Alberta Food Processors Association, Canada West Ski Areas Association, Travel Drumheller, and more. He is also the former CEO of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and was involved in driving the realignment of the province’s fiscal policy framework during the Klein era of government.
Allison, Brent
Mr. Brent Allison is the Chief Executive Officer of Long View Systems. He is ICD.D certified and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a member of the Special Olympics Alberta board and the Canadian Fibre Optics board. Mr. Allison is a past vice-chair and chair of the Alberta Science & Technology Leadership Foundation, past vice-chair and chair of TELUS Spark board – the Science Centre in Calgary, and a past member of both TRTech and the Lift Automotive Consolidator board. He was named “Calgary Top 40 Under 40” by Avenue Magazine in 2009.
Parker, Terry
Mr. Terry Parker is the Executive Director of Building Trades Alberta. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Building Trades Council for 12 years. He worked as a Business Agent for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Manitoba.
Snell, Tom
Dr. Tom Snell is the President of Columbia College Calgary and Chair of the Board of Directors with Columbia College. Prior to that, he was a Principal and Chief Executive Officer at Cypress Hills Community College in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Program Coordinator at Mount Royal College and has taught various courses in Organizational Development and Behaviour at the Athabasca University, University of Calgary and Mount Royal College. Dr. Snell holds a Doctorate of Education, major in Higher Education from Nova Southeaster University, a Doctorate in Administration and Master’s in Administration, both in the Faculty of Graduate Studies from Gonzaga University, and a Bachelor of Education degree, major in Social Studies and minor in Educational Psychology from the University of Lethbridge.
