Schlesinger, Nancy

Nancy Schlesinger has been a Vice-Chair at the Alberta Labour Relations Board since 2002. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta Law School and clerked with the Alberta Court of Appeal and Court of Queen’s Bench before completing her articles as the law firm of Witten Binder. Nancy first worked for the Labour Relations Board in 1996 on a six-month secondment as Legal Counsel. She then spent three years working as Legal Counsel at the Alberta Court of Appeal, where she assisted the appeal justices with their work. In 1999, she returned to the Board to work as Legal Counsel, a position she held until she was appointed to the position of Vice-Chair.

Eustergerling, Geoffrey

Geoffrey (Geoff) Eustergerling is Senior Advisor, Labour Relations, working for ATCO. In his role, Geoff maintains labour relationships across Canada. This includes collective bargaining, grievance resolution, and third party litigation. Geoff holds a BComm from the Haskayne School of Business and has had a CPHR designation since 2016.

Fitz, Raelene

Ms. Raelene Fitz is currently a lead negotiator with Alberta Health Services (AHS), in this role she represents AHS on matters including dispute resolution/grievance meetings, mediations and arbitration hearings. Ms. Fitz has no previous experience on boards however has education and experience to support the needs of a board. Ms. Fitz has a Bachelor of Arts from the UofA and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the McEwan University.

Galway, Corinne

Ms. Corinne (Cory) Galway is a Senior Negotiator with Alberta Health Services. Since 1995 she has negotiated on behalf of a variety of health care employers and is/was responsible for collective bargaining, grievance management and consultation, dispute resolution, project management and employee benefits. Cory has a Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta and a mediation certification with the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society. Previously, Cory was a board member and volunteer mediator for the Strathcona County Mediation Society.

Darren R. Leclair is a Manager, Labour Relations with over 28 years experience who works with operations management in all facets of labour relations matters Including: negotiations, grievance arbitration, management training/education, and assorted daily labour relations issues. Darren is a member of the Discipline Committee of CPHR Alberta. Darren holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and has held CPHR certification since 1999.

Brent Bish has previous experience on boards and is currently the elected councilor of the Town of Hinton representing several boards. Mr. Bish is also the President of the United Mine Workers of America and has 28 years of service with the Cardinal River Coals LTD. Dianne Wyntjes is currently elected as Municipal Councillor for the City of Red Deer. She has many years of board experience and leadership in labour relations including negotiations, labour management and policy. Dianne is a graduate of the Labour College of Canada.

Kristine became the Human Services Appeal Panels Edmonton Regional Vice-Chair and hears decisions for Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped

(AISH), Child Care Licensing (CCL), Child, Youth and Family Enhancement (CYFE), Income and Employment Supports (IES) and Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD). Flannery, Lynda

Lynda Flannery has a career spanning 30 years in human resources with special focus on labour and employee relations. Lynda has many years of volunteering in the community and is currently volunteering as the Director of Volunteers for the St. Albert Community League. She has a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Economics from the University of Alberta.

Lacasse, Jacqueline

Jacqueline Lacasse is the Director of Labour Relations at the University of Calgary and is responsible for collective bargaining, contract administration, program and policy development, grievances and arbitrations and labour relations training. Prior to joining the University, Jacqueline practiced labour and employment law in private practice and as in-house legal counsel for Alberta Health Services. She is an active community volunteer and has held board roles for a number of local non- profit organizations.

Neumann, Donna

Ms. Donna Neumann has been active for over 20 years in the employee relations field in Alberta. As Director of Human Resources for the Calgary General Hospital, she was responsible for employee relations. Ms. Neumann’s professional practice includes third party neutral activities in both a labour relations sense and organizational situations that do not involve a union. Furthermore, she serves as management nominee on arbritration boards; is Umpire for the UNA/AHS Relocation Committee; was Chair of the Job Review Committee for

UofC/AUPE; and was Fact Finder for NEB/PIPSC (Federal legislation).

Burns, Jennifer

Ms. Jennifer Burns has close to 30 years of experience in labour relations and human resources management. Jennifer is Vice-President, Human Resources and Legal Counsel at the Good Samaritan Society where she continues to work in these areas. She previously served a number of terms on the Alberta Labour Relations Boards, was appointed to the Alberta Human Rights Commission (Tribunal Member) for a term, and has been appointed as the management nominee on numerous arbitration panels. Jennifer has a B.A. from the University of Tornto and a LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Cunliffe, Pemme

Ms. M.J. (Pemme) Cunliffe is a Labour Relations Consultant who works with Employers specializing in collective bargaining, mediations, nominee appointments and workplace investigations. Pemme has previous Board experience at both the Labour Relations Board and on various volunteer boards. Pemme has extensive experience in health care and in labour relations, both in labour relations and operation and holds a law degree and a masters degree in health administration from the University of Alberta, and Nursing degree from the University of British Columbia.

Kolba, Bill

William (Bill) Kolba is a retired National Representative with the Communications, Energy & Paper Workers' Union (UNIFOR) with extensive experience in servicing local unions in various sectors of labour movement. He served as President of the union’s Composite Local 777 while working at CIL\AT Plastics. He also served as a Board Member for over eleven years on the Employment Insurance Board of Referees as well as serving on the Executive Board of the Energy and Chemical Workers Union.

Schick, Jeremy

Jeremy Schick joined the Labour Relations Board as Legal Counsel in September 2013. He practiced labour and employment law, administrative law, and civil litigation, with the Alberta School Boards Association and the law firm of Lucas Bowker & White/Davis & Company. He also previously taught legal research, writing and advocacy as a Belzberg Lecturer with the Faculty of Law, University of Alberta. Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Alberta law school, receiving the Judges Bronze Medal, and articled with the Alberta Court of Appeal and Court of Queen's Bench before being called to the Bar in 2000.

Paul Bokenfohr has over thirty years of experience in the labour relations and hum an resources management field. Brown, Allan

Allan Brown has served as the Labour Relations Officer for the SAIT Academic Faculty Association since December of 2010. His responsibilities include grievance handling, conflict resolution, contract negotiations and arbitration presentations on behalf of the Faculty Association. Allan has developed a broad knowledge of the Alberta Labour Relations Code and practices as they pertain to Union Certification, Negotiating Collective Agreements, Interpreting and servicing Collective Agreements, Grievance and Arbitration cases.

Clayton Davis is the Executive Director, Human Resources, at NAIT. He provides strategic HR direction and is accountable for labour relations matters. He started his labour relations involvement in the 90s with the Alberta healthcare sector, including a number of years with Alberta Health Services, then shifted to post-secondary in 2005.Clayton is an active community volunteer, with a focus on STEM initiatives for young people. Crystal Norton has 18 years experience in Human Resources and Labour Relations in healthcare, utilities and construction industries, acting as chief spokesperson in collective bargaining, facilitated collective agreement administration and conflict resolution and delivery of programs on healthy, safe and productive workplaces. Brygeda Renke is the Executive Director and General Counsel for the Association of Academic Staff of the University of Alberta which represents over 4200 academic staff. She first joined the organization in December 2007. She has a BA (Distinction) and an LLB from the University of Alberta. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta in good standing with nearly 25 years of legal experience, with a focus in civil litigation and employment law.

Soderstrom, Carl

Carl Soderstrom is the Executive Director of Alberta Union of Provincial Employees, directs, coordinates, and advises the Union on high level strategy and tactics. He brought cases to the Labour Relations Board (LRB), arbitration panels and professional licensing boards and negotiated collective bargaining disputes. He served on the Alberta LRB since 2011, and a Vice-Chair and Trustee to the Local Authorities Pension Plan and on the Public Service Pension Plan Board.

Karen Thibault is the Senior MSO Advisor (southern Alberta) for Alberta’s largest union, the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees. Karen began her career with AUPE as a Union Representative in 1987. As well as being involved in organizing, Karen has negotiated numerous collective agreements covering many sectors, and has extensive experience in grievance handling and dispute resolution. In her current role, Karen provides support and mentorship to the Membership Services Officers in the five AUPE southern Alberta offices. Karen is also a graduate of the Labour College of Canada.
