Bekevich, Melanie

Melanie Bekevich is a proud northerner and an active community member. She is a communications and strategic planning professional with diverse experience working with government, non-pro?t, post-secondary and private sector organizations. She has served on a number of local boards and is a founding member of Birth Matters for Peace Parents, an advocacy organization to enhance access to maternity services in northern Alberta. Melanie holds a BA from the University of Alberta and an MA from the United Nations-mandated University for Peace.

Cornfield, Catherine

Catherine Cornfield has a degree in pharmacy from U of A. She practiced in hospital, tertiary care and community pharmacy. She obtained her Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection, American College of Apothecaries accreditation in Compounding Pharmacy, Tobacco Reduction Educator, Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine, and Additional Prescribing Authority.

She currently serves on 2 community associations and has gained experience in policy development, strategic planning, advocacy, and event planning.

Crocker, David

Mr. Crocker obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Microbiology from the University of Guelph, Ontario. He has extensive experience in leadership and project management roles both in the public and private sector. This includes development and management of program and clinic operations for primary care services at multiple levels and managing multiple business development planning and operations for medical laboratories in Canada and the United States.

Cabaj, Chelsey

Chelsey Cabaj is a strong believer in wide-ranging volunteerism. As a pharmacist and Certified Diabetes Educator, Chelsey has worked for over 10 years in both private and public practice settings, ranging from community pharmacies to outpatient clinics and home care. The diversity of these experiences has given Chelsey an excellent understanding of how public policy issues can affect individuals and communities, as well as a familiarity with the operation of administrative boards and volunteer organizations.

Schinbein, Dustin

Dustin Schinbein has experience working in both acute and critical care as well as leading professional practice as an education consultant for the Department of Critical Care Medicine and Respiratory Services within Alberta Health Services. Mr. Schinbein has a successful record of accomplishment in leading innovation and change management within the field of Respiratory Therapy. He is in pursuit of an MBA at the University of Calgary and is a volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
