Fujino, Jack
Jack Fujino brings over four decades of experience in engineering, large project management and corporate management to AGLC’s Board. As senior vice-president of Stantec’s environmental group, Jack assessed, coordinated and developed projects from not only an engineering and environmental perspective, but also from an operational and financial auditing perspective. With a well-rounded professional tenure in feasibility, acquisitions and operations, Jack adds his diverse experience to his role as a member of AGLC’s Board. Jack holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and has previously served as a director on the Alberta Chamber of Resources, Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems, and Consulting Engineers of Alberta.

Donovan, Serena
Serena Donovan brings a wealth of experience in governance and business support. Serena’s dedication to municipal governance is evident through her diverse roles within various boards and commissions. Her extensive involvement in these organizations has provided her with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by small businesses in southern Alberta. In addition to her governance roles, Serena has made significant strides as an entrepreneur. Serena’s unique blend of governance experience and entrepreneurial spirit makes her a valuable asset.
Spagnolo, Larry
Mr. Larry Spagnolo is an experienced technology and business leader with a strong track record in innovation and growth. He most recently led Emerson’s SaaS SCADA business as Vice President and General Manager and has held various senior executive roles in leading companies including Zedi and Telus.
Throughout his career, Larry has helped build and scale organizations, led global teams, and contributed to major operational transformations. His leadership is defined by collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
Larry is actively involved in education and community service, serving on multiple boards, which include his current position as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors at Athabasca University and previous positions with NAIT and Polytechnics Canada. He was the recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition for his significant contribution within his community.
Larry is a proud graduate of NAIT and Grant MacEwan University and has completed executive programs at INSEAD and the Rotman School of Management.
Cupples, Garett
With over 40 years of experience in Alberta’s oil and gas sector, Garett Cupples has built a strong reputation as a business leader and entrepreneur. He founded his first company 35 years ago and currently operates two businesses in commercial property and manufacturing.
A lifelong Albertan, Garett was born in Red Deer and raised in the surrounding county. He and his wife reside on a hobby farm west of the city. Deeply committed to community service, he has volunteered in political campaigns across all levels of government and contributed to numerous charitable and fundraising initiatives over the past 25 years.
Garett remains a passionate advocate for Alberta and the Red Deer region, promoting it as an ideal place to do business and raise a family.
Rauscher, Gordon
Gordon Rauscher brings over 25 years of dynamic leadership across finance, government, and industry to the AGLC Board. As Chief Commercial Officer of Carlson Construction, Gordon is a key driver of strategic growth and Indigenous engagement. Previously, he spearheaded the development and opening of the Bear Hills Casino & Travel Resort, securing major financing and government partnerships to bring Louis Bull Tribe’s vision to life.
A lifelong learner and governance advocate, Gordon holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is completing his ICD.D (from the Institute of Corporate Directors) designation. His passion lies in building strong partnerships, advancing strategic planning, and fostering economic and social opportunities that endure.
Drysdale, Wayne
Wayne Drysdale has over 20 years of government experience with an emphasis on strategic planning and public policy including serving as Grande Prairie-Wapiti’s Member of the Legislative Assembly, Alberta’s Minister of Infrastructure and Minister of Transportation. As the senior vice president of business development at Aquatera, Wayne leverages market and industry knowledge to provide strategic direction that creates a vision for success within the organization. Throughout his career, Wayne has made community involvement a priority showcased by his involvement at the local and regional level including a founding membership of the Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Medical Service Board.
Foulds, Jared
Jared Foulds is a Chartered Professional Accountant and experienced finance executive with over 20 years in public sector and corporate financial management. As founder of Foulds Tax & Accounting Services, he built a successful practice supporting hundreds of corporate and personal clients. He previously served as Controller/Manager of Finance at the Calgary Parking Authority, where he oversaw more than $500 million in assets and implemented major cost reduction and treasury improvements. His career includes senior finance roles in the energy sector, leading International Financial Reporting Standards conversions, Enterprise Resource Planning implementations, and complex audit and regulatory functions. Jared also brings non-profit board experience through Deaf & Hear Alberta, where he contributed to strategic planning and financial oversight.
Crockatt, Joan
Joan Crockatt is a former Member of Parliament and business leader who has held top executive roles at Canwest Global Communications (now Global Television), Southam Inc. and Hollinger (now Postmedia), one of the world’s largest multi-media companies. She has a strong track record in stakeholder engagement, crisis communications and government relations through her experience building and scaling organizations, leading international teams, and contributing to major operational transformations. Joan is active in community service, was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and has received prestigious national and international journalism awards.
Bodnar, Jason
Jason J.J. Bodnar is a senior lawyer specializing in administrative law. He served for 25 years as in-house counsel with the Workers’ Compensation Board of Alberta, where he advised on statutory interpretation, tribunal decision-making, judicial reviews, privacy, and human rights matters. He has appeared before the Appeals Commission for Alberta Workers’ Compensation, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench and Court of Appeal, and as an intervener at the Supreme Court of Canada. Jason has held numerous governance and committee roles, including roles on the WCB Ethics Committee, the Canadian Bar Association’s Legislative and Law Reform and Access to Justice Committees, the Children’s Health Foundation, the Canada-Japan Business Association, the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, and editorial leadership positions with the UBC Law Review. He also has experience as a Sessional Instructor at MacEwan University where he developed and taught advanced communication law courses.
